Could we return to the topic of discussion please, otherwise the constant arguing will result in the thread being closed...........

I agree that this studio suits NewsNight better. The black background makes it feel more of a night programme and the purple graphics, titles etc do the same.

I don't think DAS has anything to worry about.

So Brekkie will be in N8 will it.

Nicky S, so you're a BBC insider, that's great! It really is, but please what is the point in posting posts that are simply there to tease. You've made more than 4 posts regarding this subject and in each you drop a few more clues. This is not a forum where members are invited to play guessing games, so please if you know something, just tell us. I'm sorry to have a go, but it is quite annoying.

I don't think you're in any position to dictate what Nicky does or does not say on this board.

There are many 'insiders' here, and if you and others give off attitudes like this, we will stop posting - it's as simple as that.

Dear Uncle Bruce

I too am an insider and when I have had 'inside' news of changes at ITN I have posted them in full. My point is: There is no point in dropping hints and clues, you can either say it or you cant, simple as that. I do recall being the first person to have informed my fellow forumers that the now ITV news was to be built on VR. SO please don't have a go at me, I think you'll find I have a valid point.

I'm sorry, but you don't have a valid point at all. Nicky, Marcus or myself are under no obligation to say anything on this board at all - we do so out of our own good will. That goodwill could become very short lived with the comments you are making.

And, congratulations for telling us 'fellow forumers' about the VR set. Your medal is in the post.

Uncle Bruce, or should that be auntie!!!! Why on earth you have replied to this some 4 pages on is quite beyond me. The argument died hours ago after Nicky S replied himself, hence why I left it where it was!!!!!!!!! You are obviously out for a argument whereas I am not, and have not been since i started posting here. On that note I bid you goodnight!

Just on a completely different tangent - was it me or were Dermot and Natasha engaging in more banter than usual this morning?

Plus great use of the big screens for interviews! That's something they can't do nearly as well in their usual studio.

Message to the Newsnight editor: Get rid of the current studio and give it a BBC Three News style make over

Indeed. Doesn't look too bad either ...

And slightly off on a tangent, are people at the BBC allowed to change their wallpaper? Just couldn't help noticing the one in the corner minus the corporate branding! Laughing
