Given that Parliament is in recess (let the silly season commence!), it wouldn't surprise me.

I noticed that, with BBC Three and Four both with news on at the same time, they were both interviewing the same correspondent from Iraq at the same time last night.

Am I the only one who's been having a "I'm Brian Hanrahan and THIS IS THE WORLD" / Eddie "I'm fine but I've not just been crushed by a killer whale" Mair dilemma this week?

I think that "later this year" is all they've said so far.

How is it that News 24 managed to miss the publication of the Foreign Affairs Select Ctte. report into the war on terror?

It came out at 11 o'clock - i.e. 5 minutes ago - and every news channel (even CNN, who were scheduled for a business programme) went over to the news conference... and News 24 was talking about flood control measures.

Why?

They have only just joined the press conference, five minutes after everyone else. Feeble.

I'm only guessing here, but it may have been a problem with the BBC's feed from the select committee, as BBC World only opted into it at the same time as News 24.

those global wamrning titles are rather fab aren't they.

Shame they mucked up the split screen though.

Has anyone noticed that at the end of the 6, Sian seems to speak to herself? Wonder what she's saying.

I doubt she'd be talking to herself - she'll be talking to the team in the gallery. Trevor McDonald was doing the same at the end of ITV News a couple of nights ago.
