NADIA
By every definition in terms of both personality and physical attributes Nadia is not a person you can relate to. Her nicotine addiction has no bounds and makes her unstable and thoroughly irritating. Her attempts to look sexy by showing everything have now gone past the stage of being even laughable. Although I did enjoy during the book camp task when she was made to feel and further look like her predecessor. Her mood swings linked to compulsive smoking make her even more nauseating to watch. She tries to blame her hormones which is bo*locks – which if I was feeling facetious I would say – quite literally. When she picks fights with people she has nothing to back them up with simply reiterating “I’ll shout if I want to” which shows she has no valid point behind them. All in all making her a rather dull person. I will however give her credit for not telling the housemates her secret – it’s the one thing that has ensured her survival until now. The idea of her sharing her thoughts with the public makes the view feel a connection to her.
JASON
Jason is a real life character. He’s the same person he is in the house as he would be outside. He gets pissed off, he voices his opinion, he has a laugh, he flirts, he doesn’t take any crap from people – but the important thing is – he shows it. Everyone in the house can be accused of being two faced because they are under constant watch – there is no getting away from it. I don’t think any of the housemates should be grilled for being two faced to each other, what does matter though is when they are two faced to the viewer. Jason is honest in his opinions of the housemates – any one of us watching can see that. He says what he thinks in the diary room – better that than taking Stu or Shell’s approach of not saying a bad word about anyone.
VICTOR
Plays the streetwise kid which in itself would wear thin were it not for the fact he is actually funny behind it. His comparisons in the diary room with George Bush and the United Nations are hilarious. Like Jason, he is another real life character – someone you can relate to. He is completely honest to the camera which removes any element of deviousness from what he is doing. He’s started to interact a little more with some of the housemates which will help him. He talks in confidence to Jason and yet he still manages to join in with group activities and have fun – I’d say a good medium.
DAN
Great personality, funny yet interesting. In the house though he is sitting on the fence a little too often. When he eventually voices his opinion he becomes that bit more real which makes all the difference. He joins in and talks to everyone which will stand him in good stead. All he should do is carry on being himself and avoid sitting on the fence.
WHO WILL GO?
I think Jason will go, not because I want him to and not because he should. I’d like to see Nadia out. The only reason she is set aside from the millions of others is the fact she is a transsexual and I don’t believe that is a redeeming feature worthy of keeping her in. We want real people in there at the end – Victor, Jason, Dan. People with personality and wit. Shell tries to be everyone’s friend and ‘totally understands’ everyone’s point of view – we all can see through it. That leaves Stu Michelle and Nadia – who claim they want to have fun but at the end of the day contribute nothing to the house and dare I say it – the outside world.
I'm sorry, but is it just me who finds E Fourum's host Russell Brand annoying and unfunny?
Yes... apology accepted!
Me and work mates all agree the guy is awful - but tonight I'm actually
watching
the show, and find him quite good. He's certainly as sharp as a pin, with a broad and amusing vocabulary.
Its odd how those like me (who hadn't even given him a chance), have been so critical of him.
I'm a bit annoyed with myself that I havn't bothered watching this show throughout. Its not like I hadn't heard
some
good reports. I'm sure DAS mentioned that Russell was a funny lad.
And I almost always find myself agreeing with
him.
Pub-style quiz may evict one housemate on August 4.The one with the lowest score will go.So who is the thickest?
This won't happen, as the lines to vote for the winner open on the Friday (July 30) before the final the following week (Aug 6).
A surprise eviction is pencilled in for August 4th, but it'll be linked to votes. Either the one with the least votes will go, or possibly the top three will decide which of the bottom two are evicted.
Re: E Forum. Can't believe it's still around, and doubt it'll be back next year. Extra episodes of Diary Room Uncut on Monday/Wednesday plus a repeat of Nominations Uncut on Friday's (eviction day) would be better IMHO.
Also, what's the point in repeating a live show that relies on viewer's interaction at midnight on C4?
