IMO when Anna retires - they may do a reshuffle all round. I can see Sophie and Natasha sharing the One, allowing for more flexable parenting for Sophie - not working every day etc., and a bigger role for Natasha.
Dermot and Jane eventually for the Six, and George goes off to the Ten to share with Huw.
I agree about Fiona - i think she should become the 'face' of current affairs.
They can do what they want with Darren - I don't really like him. And of couse Bill and Sian for Breakfast. Behind a desk.

I'm looking forward to seeing Dermot on the Six - I think he could be very good and should replace George eventually. I wouldn't be surprised if Dermot and Natasha become the main presenters on the Six. Maye when Anna Ford retires Sophie can switch to the one and George can be the second presenter on the Ten, leaving Fiona to present other programmes (although I think that might not please some people on this forum).

IMO, I think the bulletins work better with only one presenter (apart from Breakfast), and so I think the Six should adopt only one presenter.
Breakfast - Bill and Sian
One - Sophie or Natasha
Six - Dermot or Darren
Ten - Fiona or George
I don't really like Huw, but he could become the 'face' of current affairs, and maybe a possible candidate for Breakfast with Frost ?

When was this

I'm sure she's done it on a Sunday.
Thanks Nicky for the quick reply. Well it's not really the same as through the week.

Also remember that Phil wont just do 4 hours Mon-Fri. He will have to be in at about 7 a.m to prepare for the show, eg, read briefs, read newspapers, have make up applied and he'll do a total, on Sunday, of 6 hours also. I suppose he works on the Sunday to make his job full time as if he only worked Mon - Fri, hed do 30 hours (which is part time) but he makes it full time by working on the Sunday.
He is indeed a workaholic and i should imagine, considering he's hardly had any time off, will have a long time off in the summer. By the way, is he married with a family?

Does anyone get the feeling that good ol' Phil Hayton will be having a significant amount of time off??? He does 6 days a week, 4 hours Mon-Fri and 4 hours on Sun afternoon. He has also stood in for Chris Lowe on a saturday night...
Does he ever rest???

John Sopel was doing News 24 until late on Tuesday night, then doing Breakfast on Wednesday morning. I'm sure there's some EU directive on the minimum amount of time required between shifts!

She did it on Bank Holiday Monday a couple of weeks ago. Odd, saying as after doing the Ten, she was back on Breakfast next morning!

Are they allowed to do a "forced call" that actors are occassionally required to do? There's certainly more money involved if you don't get your entitlement of rest.

Perhaps you can sign something that bypasses this Directive, in a similar way that you can sign to say you're happy doing more than 48 hours a week.
