Does anyone know if they've standardised the size of the BBC NEWS logo at the bottom of the screen which previously was bigger on the half hour than at the top of the hour? Always looked too big at half past.

Aww bless - were they showing the "old" globe from all its different places because it was changing today then?

Aww bless also because they've won a Monte Carlo award and did a fab zoom in on it from the ceiling cam. Phil seems to be alive today too! First time for everything!

Any video captures of these new opening titles? Although I do prefer the new titles, I must admir the way the 24 animated to make it look like it was made up of several transparent strips was quite good.

Anyone seen any Breaking News yet too? I wonder if the globe bursting across the screen is still orange or whether that is now red too.

I think I preferred it how it was...especially the half past sting - now it dont work so well with the music especially the start.

The beginning of the opening titles is certainly a lot better now. They looked seriously naff/crap before. Thanks for the captures.

Breakfast News
Did anyone capture Breakfast at around 7.45? It was leading into Richard Bakers special report on TV news at 50. It showed a fantastic aerial studio shot looking straight down on the sofa. They also closed the programme with that shot. Looked great!

The "BBC News" is still bigger on the sting than on the opening titles.

They messed up on the 2pm titles. The 24 appeared in black with no colour to it. Is it me or is the globe more red than it used to be.

What annoys me about titles is that they jolt when the BBC NEWS string passes over the 24

I think they had that angle shot incase they could persuade Natasha to dance on the show, Dermot did try to get her to dance. Still it was a really interesting shot, I think it was a camera mounted onto the lighting bars of the studio.

Same camera as the newsnight flyover camera? Did it show the whole studio (including half the newsnight set behind the cameras), or just the breakfast half?

The titles at 2 were interesting. The 24 was black!
