Hmm, it'll be interesting seeing Look North desk-less again. I haven't watched the programme since last year, I'll tune in.

On another note, I am getting increasingly worried on the YTV studios. The chevron is still missing, and what makes it worse, it that the mid-90's yellow chevron on the Emmerdale Production Studios has gone! The scaffolding is still up, and the chevron on the 'white bar' at the back of the building (where the scaffolding is) is slightly wonky. Hmm... that's one of the reasons why I now miss regional continuity/branding.

I know - but Peter Levy joined Look North in 1987, and would therefore have had very little 'sofa experience'! I know that the set changed from a sofa-led one to an all-desk arrangement very early on in the 1990s or possibly 1989....

Oh for heavens sake, 'sofa experience' ? The man is a professional, he could do it at a desk, sofa, swinging trapeze or standing on his head in a grass skirt and twizzling a hula hoop.

Don't be telling me there is a BBC Sofa Training Course that he missed out on ? Oh well, let's just hope he got himself round to DFS and managed to try out some of the Linda Barker range in readiness for his big sofa debut.

Failing that you could always offer to pop over and hold his hand on that big nasty sofa. Laughing

Hmm... might make interesting viewing that..... I'll suggest that to Roger Farrant....

Apparently it's going to work out 'really, really, REALLY well!'

Or drop an e-mail to Paul Hudson saying 'are Look North sure the region is ready to see Peter Levy's knees on television?'

My sources assure me that the sofas are from a certain blue and yellow foreign furnature chain...

If you know what I mean, why do you need to tell us. What a pointless post.

Paul will be present in the new studio tonight with Peter and Helen. So that should be good to have Peter and Paul together again.

Look North relaunches tonight at 6:30pm. And Breakfast and Lunchtime bulletins will continue to be pan regional with Clare until September.
