I'd best not press my views on the move to digital too loudly then, Mr Cowboy.Let's just hope that your depression at the compression is countered when the whole change is complete.

Strangely enough the cup final from twickers today was better than usual - anyone with inside knowledge explain this ? Sky insiders anywhere ?
Stop press , Cath has got a new brooch on the itv wales news at the moment ! Anyone with video capture to record this for posterity ?

I've just realised that Dai Station doesn't in fact live there.

The clue is in the idea that that isn't a station.

Tut, no penguin for me today.

And I notice S4C will be showing <Big Brother Live> half an hour after it happens again. Is there any point at all?

Perhaps they want to put it out anamorphic like the test match last weekend. Very Happy

Well HTV tell us that tv's Sian Lloyd and Lembit Opik will be getting married next year.

Does that mean you'll be buying a hat, young Jez? How exciting.

And isn't Lucy's wedding only a couple of months away now? I fully expect Cardiff to come to a standstill as people miss work to line the streets [with shoes].

I've just spent some time catching up with a few programmes recorded off BBC 2W this week.

Okay, so who let the dogs out?

Her name is Shelley Miranda Barrett

Satellite City was produced for BBC Wales by Fiction Factory TV & Film. There's not much on their website about it, but you can contact them at:

post@fictionfactoryfilms.com

Shelley has also worked on quite a few productions from Presentable Productions but again, no photos on their site either! You could try them at:

Aww I loved Satellite City.

The characters were so similar to the locals in Pontypridd! Laughing

From BBC Press Office:

Quote:
Derek's Top Ten Summers

10. The Summers of the 1990s - the hottest decade in history;

9. The Molten Pigs of 1911 - a very, very, hot summer;

8. 29 July 1999 - a tropical storm with flash flooding;

7. 1816 - the year without a summer, caused by a volcanic eruption in
the East Indies;

6. The Red Dust of June 1968 - blown over to Wales from Spain or North Africa;

5. August Bank Holiday 1986 - the tail end of Hurricane Charley lashes Wales, creating the wettest August Bank Holiday on record;

4. 2 August 1990 - Welsh record temperature of 35.2 C at Hawarden Bridge;

3. The heat wave of August 2003 - including the 'hottest day in history';

2. Summer Twisters - caught on camera;

1. 1976 - the long, hot summer which ignited Derek's passion for weather.

God. I wish I was Welsh.

But you've GOT to admire the over-the-top promo, though, haven't you?

In Ebbw Vale, there'll be hail,
In the Gower there'll be a shower,
In Llandrindod Wells, there'll be sunny spells
and in Ruthin.......................

By the way, no mention of baby seals named after footballers? Shame on you all!

I saw that Advert come on one of the tv's while I was at the gym this evening and I thought TVDragon would be excited.

It's looks CRAP!

PS Great to see Juliet Piper do the sport on ITV Wales News tonight.
