Oh get a sense of humour BBC LDN.

In future though, please respect Hymagumba's request that only BIG MOIRA[and Neil Green's request that FAB FIONA be honoured.

and while you're at it use the right font size and talk about it in the glasses thread which is more appropriate.

I mean for goodness sakes, the Big Moira thing has been around on this board for AGES, it's not new. GET OVER IT.

I mean fair enough if you've got a reason to talk about the woman but I'm starting to get sick of the constant name dropping for name droppings sake, it's tedious, it's boring and it's bloody annoying.

And as for you Daniel, I really wish you'd get off *MY* back about stuff that other people are doing.

Pardon me. I thought for a second that you'd written a whole page of guidelines of how to refer to a newsreader! But then I realised how ludicrous that would be!

*OH* well if you were refering to that you deserve hit with a fish. I thought you were refering to the constant dropping of names with silly formatting in this thread. In which case my original post applys.

Well if you want to be specific about what prompted my "GET A LIFE" outburst, you can take your fish back and slap it round your own face... it was your "All ideas for any such names should be submitted to be for approval" line that got me going. That tells me you are the source of this tedium.

Nobody needs your permission to write something or post a thread, so get over yourself. Write Moira Stewart for Christ's sake.

Ladies, play nicely.

And DAS, if you're not trying to get laughed at for the last post, change the Stewart to Stuart .

Thanks

Well perhaps that proves the point that I don't study newsreaders - you know who I'm talking about. My grammar is good, my spelling is good and it's perfectly readable. And I didn't use any formatting! Goodness me.

Interesting moment this morning - 33secs of the countdown on N24. I think that's the longest ive ever seen it... anyone else?

I'm sure people were chortling heartily at his hilarious spelling error.

It amazes me that you have the audacity to question the sense of humour of others while yours has yet to show signs of existence, much less development and maturity.

I know she doesn't crack jokes - mind you she was sarcastic at the end of the report about George the Tortoise. Again, I know she isn't dull - I saw her sing, when it somes to things like that she is a good sport.

But what is in question is her newsreading ablity. She has always been classed as 'frosty' with little personality. IT's not age either. Michael Burke was, and still is an excellent news presenter, and he isn't a young man.

One of my main reasons against Anna, is that she was retained as a main news anchor in 1999, when others, notiably Justin Webb, were better news presenters, yet they were demoted. She is one of he old school, and to be honest, wasn't a great presenter amongst the old school, but she has kept her self to herself, and hasn't caused any problems, wheras Martyn Lewis said he wanted more good news.

Anna was very attractive, and some would say she still is, and that was perhaps one reason why she has remained, and that she is a well-known face.

Remember a BBC survey conveyed Anna as stuffy, and pmpous.

But I'm afraid Anna, you've had your day. I expect we will see promotion of Natasha and Jane within the next year, and Anna will just faid away.

She actually quite good-looking for her age - she would pass for 40 and she's actually 61.

Yes, some 40 year olds would struggle to look like her.

She must have had an awfully long paper round as a girl, then.

Now I love dear Anna; but 40?

Yer arse in parsley.
