By they way, can anyone tell me how you pronounce Grainne Seoige?
Graunia shay o ga
More like Graunia Show-i-ga
Dont mean to pick bones but it depends on the version of Irish you use Ulster Irish or Munster Irish
Yeah, fair enough. Gráinne herself would probably use Connacht. Strange, but I can't remember ever actually hearing her name said on TV3. I haven't got Sky News so I haven't heard the guy announce it. What's his name, by the way?

The "arpeggio twinkles" have been ditched, and a trumpet harmony has been added, along with a symbol crash to time in with the logo better.

Hmmm @ new into break sting music. It's just the underscore version of the older version. Sounds good actually. It does flow better out of the bed though.

So that's his name! Glad they didn't use some Irish announcer for Ireland instead. I know the programme has got to have an Irish identity, but that guy's voice is so synonymous with Sky News that losing him would have been a mistake.

I'm amazed how such a minor tweak can make such a difference. The music's lost its twee-ness now and no longer sounds like it should be the Border Lookaround or Channel Report theme tune.
