And the story "covered right after the break" is not a fluffy one at all; they utilise a quarter of the wall for it.

And because of that, the story is serious?!

But it's not "fluffy" at all. Perhaps you would like to post some examples?

The other night, that story on the American helicopter that crashed was the last story on the Evening News - then it was used straight after the break at 10.30. Ok it may have been serious - but I'm sure they could have found a more important story or done special report or something.

Err actually I remember that night, they did Break - Important, Serious, newsworthy story, then a small one minute report from Harry Smith - then the sport.

A valid example?

More than three months on, and they are STILL producing graphics with text that is partially obscured by the slug or ticker...

It's Leyla Daybelge and Bill Neely this hour - looks like it could be Bill on the Evening News again tonight

( EPG says Mary and Leyla this hour)

Umm, surprised that Bill Neely seems to have got the nod ahead of James Mates for the Evening News stand-in position.

I find James Mates a terrible news reader. His voice goes so quiet at times i can barley hear him. Bill Neely, is in my opinion, much better

I'd say that Bill's a better presenter than James.

James is an excellent correspondent but I think his presenting style is a little too dry.

Totally agree James. Bill's a lot better than James when it comes to presenting (at least we can hear him) Cool
