Probably 7pm - 8pm - it can't take that long to pop downstairs to the ITN Cafe, have a cheapy meal and go back up again.

Well on the 19th March you said that it would be your last post on this thread!

Not good at keeping to your word then! Rolling Eyes

Who Cares? Every one who reads or posts into this thread possibly!

ITV buys ntl's News Channel stake - Digital Spy

Quote:
ITV has bought cable operator ntl's 35% stake in the ITV News Channel, giving it outright ownership and control of the station.

The channel launched at 13:30 on August 1, 2000 as a joint-venture between ITN and ntl. In June 2002, Carlton and Granada bought out ITN's 65% stake, and set about rebranding the station with the ITV name. ITN has a contract to supply news for the channel running through to 2009.

"Gaining total control of the ITV News Channel is a further demonstration of ITV’s commitment to news," said Clive Jones, chief executive of the ITV News Group. "ITV News Channel has already established itself as a real alternative to the other 24-hour news services, offering the same high production values associated with ITV News."

Our Lynda did well on the ITV NC yesterday, a nice surprise to a casual NC viewer to see a local face and hear a local voice on the channel, although she didn't seem to fit well with the other newsreaders, no real chemistry.

Good to see a UTV Live report yesterday too, first time I've seen one. However, I missed the introduction to the story, was it along the lines of "UTV Live's Tracey Magee reports?"

I wonder if ITV NC would considering taking on Lynda, and her husband and fellow UTV Live newsreader Mike Nesbitt, on a more regular basis?

Linda Bryans was part of UK Today again on the News Channel this afternoon.
