I think Felicity is doing alright on the evening news,
but i would prefer to see andrea catherwood on the evening or even the 10:30, that would get blokes watching.
According to the EPG it's Mark and Felicity again on the Evening News
And all of next week too, I believe. On the News Channel yesterday, Mary mentioned she was going on a skiing holiday, so I assume that's where she is.

Felicity is a great presenter, but I just don't think she suits the Evening News as well someone else could. Felicity is great reading the sport and presenting on the News Channel, where she can, and does, engage in much humour and banter throughout, something she cannot do on the Evening News.
Andrea would be an excellent alternative presenter, a role which she probably will take on upon returning, as I believe she wants to do more presenting. Though I still believe Leyla could have been given a chance on the Evening News.
Andrea isn't just a reson to get men watching either, she is a pretty heavyweight reporter in comparison to the others.

did anyone see the old globe spinning background during the coverage of the bush blair summit between 4:30 and 6:00pm i can't remember what the exact time was. it was the really old red and blue background
it was the background used before the mini relaunch last year. i would have thought it would have been taken off the computer last year

If you put the ITVNC on at 1pm or 7pm they seem to show them then.
I saw a 'Live with Joyce Ohajah' one the other night, so I guess they've made loads of them.
i know they have done the following
live with alistar stewart program actually called this
live with angela rippon program actually called this
joyce o haja
mark austin and mary nightingale
steve scott and felicity barr
also not sure about
andrew harvey and lucy alexander
i think leyla should get a program promo and chris rogers. does anyone know if he has a website or any way of contacting him and other itv news presenters for signed pics

Andrea is coming back soon is she not? I don't think she was intending on staying of long.
I think she should get the stand-in role on the 10.30, I know people think it should be Mark Austin, but there should be one male presenter ie. Trevor and one female presenter ie. Andrea (she has been there longer than the rest of the female presenting team I think.
They should also get rid of the commercial break on the 10.30 and they could fit in at least one other story. Also if they shorten the sport section and regional news they could do some sort of special report or just more news.
I think that if Mary Nightingale is off for an entire week Katie Derham should present the Evening News and somebody else should do London Tonight. (Joyce Ohajah, Carrie Frais, Anna Maria Ashe !!!, etc)
The News at Ten Thirty should be like this:
2230 Top Story with analysis
2236 Main News
2244 Coming Up + Special Report
2246 Other News
2248 Sport Report
2251 Local News + Weather
2257 Headlines, Markets and Newspapers
2259 Weather
Also do you think Chris Rogers and Leyla Daybelge should become regular pairings?
