Apologies for the appalling image quality.

Yea, and..?

Oh good lord, lighten up you silly pr¡ck.

Other people can appreciate the humour; it's just a bit of light relief. It wasn't meant to be an analysis of the news agenda, or a dig at the inflexibility of the astons, or anything other than sharing with the forum something that looks funny, and pretty much everyone else got that. If you genuinely didn't get the joke - even after it was more or less explained in later posts - then you have my pity for your sense of humour deficiency.

I don't get people who think it's clever to kill everyone else's fun by making out that there's nothing funny about what they're laughing at.

But as I hate you you insignificant ****, I thought I would point out that IMO your observation was pointless and unfunny... have you ever seen the NUT abbreviated as N.U.T or indeed the Beeb as B.B.C? I never have. Perhaps it would have been funnier if it has been highlighted by a less opinionated and arrogant jerk like yourself... saying that, in future, I'll hide the contempt I have for you away from the public gaze...

Couple of things...

Not sure if its been mentioned, but what do people think of the advert for 'News on BBC ONE from 6-7pm' that's airing at the moment?

Also, I've seen lots of use of fading through white (giving the impression of a white flash) to join together bits of interviews recently. In John Simpson's book he talks about the use of cutting to the interviewer nodding when interviews are edited. He says he doesn't like it as it's recorded afterwards (as they usually only have 1 camera). Perhaps someone else in BBC News doesn't like it and so we have white flashes.

News 24 have sorted out their 'coming up' graphic with the web address scrolling underneath - it now lines up. They were also using a few different angles today, with a good interview between Jane and a film critic including lots of wide shots.

Finally, I like the adverts N24 is running at the moment - the ones of the reporters in Baghdad and Leeds. Now three 'if it happens, it happens here' ads. Why aren't these used on other BBC channels?

There has been some great camera work on N24 recently - aerial shots being used during studio interviews, and my favourite - during the half head ident.

As for those trailers, I've seen them on BBC One; they're usually shown before or after a domestic news bulletin.

dont laugh ur the worst culprit,Rolling Eyes
from what i have seen, and i hardly think you know the other guy enough to call him a "less opinioned and arrogant jerk"
thats the behaviour i expect from 10 year olds, and theirs no needs to come back with a smart alec comment like you are 10 or something.
I hardly think its appropriate to get in such a state over a light hearted joke just because you didnt appriciate it.
Their are more people here then you

With regards to the 6 to 7 newhour trailers, seems odd they used Sophie when she's off for 6 months. Wouldn't it have been better to use Sian?
