After seeing Emily Maitlis performing on Weekend Breakfast I would hope that she might play a part in weekday Breakfast. She looks very at home on the News 24 set, and I am sure she'd look just great on that sofa. I'm not too keen on Jules as a stand in for Sian, she doesn't appear to have the weight to hold a 3+ hour programme.
Anna Ford, definately not! I dont thin the beeb will move her to the 6, even if its just from time to time. As mentioned Fiona Bruce is already a busy lady with her other commitements and so Jane Hill does seem the most likely candidate.
Doesn't anyone inside the beeb know the answer?

I think we will see Bill & Sian reunited on the 6, when George is on holiday. And I think he will go on holiday at least once or twice during the time Sophie is off.
And then we'll get Bill and Sian five times a week!!!

The Liquid News studio is not defunct - only the Liquid News set (there is a big difference between a studio and a set). The studio will continue to produce the 7 O'Clock News and 60 Seconds as it has done since they launched - their set is opposite the Liquid News set in the same studio.
It is unlikely that the Liquid News set will remain in the studio - I would imagine that the 7 O'Clock News will want to expand into the space that is now available for their new 30 minute show.

It is interesting to see the now defunct Liquid News studio being used for HARDtalk Extra. Does anyone know if this is to be the permanent home for HARDtalk/HARDtalk Extra/Extra Time?

Well whatever is going to happen to it, it is certainly being put to use. Currently Click Online are using it, so who knows what the future might hold. It is a good looking set though so it would be a shame to lose it.
