To which Luvvie do you refer, young Snu?

I’m sorry, I cannot believe that the King of Luvvies would bless me with a response. Or would he? Give me a sign!

What have they done to the straps?!

The animation has changed on them. Faster, smoother... etc

I have only just turned it on, but 100% sure it was not like this earlier in the morning.

Maybe this is the big graphics update we've been waiting months for! Wink

I seriously would not put it past them.

Just seems to be a different system they're using to render the graphics. They changes don't exactly look obvious, but when you see it animate text you will hopefully know what I mean.

Same way as the old Sky News at Ten graphics animated - very smooth. I daren't say subtle, as it's Sky.

Hmmm very slick. I do like the text at the bottom of Sky News when they are conducting an interview, it gives you all the relevant info you need. So if you're watching with the sound down, or you've coming in half way through, you can quickly pick up on what they're talking about.

It annoys me then, that when they have the huge BREAKING NEWS strap on, they don't bother with the extra info. Somehow, they need to show the fact that it is breaking news, but also give the background info. I'm sure there's been a few mocks on here of good ways around this.

It's taking them long enough with the new graphics isn't it...!

And are they deliberately trying different pairings or the same parents at different times (Steve/Emma in the late shift last night) or is it still an Easter hangover? I thought those two worked better there than on Sunrise.

I just don't think anyone works on the Sunrise programme... because it's crap.

Seems they have got rid of the new text animations already.

Christ knows when the new graphics are coming in proper. Considering they are ready, seems stupid to hold back for so long.

Unless it turns out to be any random date, I suppose a good date to bet on might be when the Sky News Irish bulletins start, which is apparently on May 8th according to the Dublin Evening Herald.

It also looks like the Irish bulletins are going to be at 7pm and 10pm, after apparently being all over the place. This will also keep the bulletins from competing with the main RTE and TV3. I guess this means that Littlejohn will be moving to 8.00pm or 8.30pm when it returns in May, as the MIllbank studio will be needed for the co-presenter in London, if that is still going to be part of the Irish bulletins, or the Millbank gallery will be needed to transmit the Irish bulletin (as it sounds like their will only be a small studio in Dublin).

Why are Sky News obsessed by the Beckhams. Its very irritating to find that its one of the "TOP Stories" when there are far more important things going on the world.

Beckham gets all of this "attention" and gets far too much money for what he deserves, but thats a different argument. As Clarkson said maybe if he spent all the time he did at the hairdressers, practicing football England might be slightly better.

Most of the emails that have been read out on Sky News by Julie etc. say that the media should stop wasting the time on them - and Sky News is one of the worst for going overboard with such twoddle.

Well because they shelled out to get the 'exclusive' story. They even plug the time and place of the programme in the headline recap. Confused
