I haven't made any mocks for a while, so here are some for a new Sky EPG System. I haven't done the TV Guide Menu Section yet, but probably will do in the near future.
In the new update, there would be a slightly different EPG depending on if you were watching a widescreen TV or a 'Normal' Screen TV.

Here is what the Search and Scan bar would look like when viewed on a widescreen TV. I've tried to make use of the extra space provided.

..And here is what it would look like on a 'Normal' Screen TV

Pressing the 'i' button on the remote would display the information for that programme.

..And the Sky+ Planner would look something like this. (Oh, and yes: there ARE 100 dots across the top - each one represents a % of space on the hard disk.)

More to follow when I have time..

It looks okay on a 16:9 tv, but what about a 4:3 tv? it would be even more squashed on a 4:3 tv

That seems to be resolved by having a different design when in 4:3 mode (which, of course would mean a slight software update but more importantly a bigger bit of memory in the box)

It looks so much better than the current EPG though, and the designs are all technically possible too... Great mocks.

If I wanted to be picky I'd say the search & scan banner is missing a space for those letters that tell you about subtitles, narrative, content advice and all that stuff.

very nice, in the sky+ planner is that the program outline in the background?
I like the colour scheme better as it's just purples instead of blues and yellows, it also looks very modern with transparency etc on it
looking forward to the rest

Thanks for the comments, guys.
The background of the Sky+ Planner is a transparancy over the TV Picture. Now i'm not sure whether it is actually possible to do that whilst the picture moves in the background...if it isn't then a still image would be in the background of the last moment watched.

They really really need to update the look of the planner... given some of the excellent graphics which Sky are churning out, they are let down by the EPG.
