On the subject of phone-ins, I see BBC News 24 were having them the last time I watched. Isn't that something the ITVNC started during the Iraq War? Where people would ring in and ask a correspondent/soldier various questions.

It's great to see the News Channel getting some trailers on ITV1, the voiceover said the News Channel is all about set presenters at set times, which I guess it is more thesedays.
I think there might be a few different versions, as that one ended telling us when Live with Alastair Stewart was on, so there may be ones telling us when other people, like Angela Rippon are on?
It was good to see a trailer for the News Channel that doesn't just show ITV1 faces. It showed Angela, then Alastair, then Andrew & Lucy together, then Steve and Felicity and then Leyla.
As CPFC said above, Mark Bolton is excellent, it would indeed be great to see more of him at ITN.
I wouldnt expect to see Mark become a regular as he has a good amount of jobs at ITV Central. He does the Central News Sport, as well as Kicking It Around and Central Sports Special, and a few times Soccer Sunday, so I wouldnt think that he would go? but who knows...

True, he is highly valued at ITV Central, though to work at ITN would surely be a promotion, as he would have a wider reaching audience.

Just seen the News Channel promo - it's quite impressive.
They're definitely pushings the Andrew/Lucy and Steve/Felicity presenter combinations.
Interesting that they are advertising Live with Alastair Stewart as running from 10 till 12 - I wonder if they will manage to extend it to a full two hours.
