So when is the Bill and Sian™ show happening then? I can't see anything in Digiguide

Ummm - sorry to say that it's not, because of the permanent extension of Breakfast for the forseable future. Sad
But watchout for something coming to your screens Saturday Mornings in the summer!

So can you now tell us, or at least give us an idea of what Bill and Sian™ would've been up to Very Happy

They were going to present a morning show on BBC1 at 10am from News 24 for several weeks - to fill the schedule before City Hospital and House Call returned.... but with Kilroy being killed off it never happened!

I think Emily Matlis would be a good face for Breakfast. She has already been on News 24. Maybe she could do with a promotion after she gives birth, although she may want all the sleep she can get!

To be honest Dermot should be on the Ten O'Clock News, but there is no room for him, they already have Huw, Fiona, Peter and Michael. He might even be better on News 24. But I would like to see him back at ITN.

Ih he'd stayed with ITN, he'd be in the position Mark Austin currently occupies, and was a certainty to eventually step into Trevor's shoes. I wonder if he feels he made the wrong move? Ah well, there's always the money.

It's funny isn't it some presenters seem at home on whichever channel they're on and others seem uncomfortable on one, and not the other.

Dermot in my mind should be used fo a 'proper' news bulletin either the 1, 6 or 10, he's more authoritve,(or at least used to be!) but in my mind he should have stayed at ITN, (in the long term game he would have come out on top!)

on the opposite side, Andrew Harvey has settled in nicely over at ITN, and looks as comforatble as he did at the BBC.

They should use him on ITV1 bulletins, but thats maybe not part of his contract, or maybe he doesn't want to. He has a few years to retirement age, so it would be a shame if he doesn't get one last stint on (normal?) tv.

I agree - I always liked him on Breakfast News and the 6. It'd be good to see him doing some bulletins on terrestrial again.

You are joking! Aren't you?

Dermott isn't good enough to do Huw's make-up!

Where do you get Peter and Michael from? They are so incredibly rare on the Ten that I don't think you could consider them to be part of the anchor team - that's just Huw with a little bit of Fiona.

You may notice that I think Huw is good! The Dan Rather of BBC News.

Yes, but Peter and Michael WOULD be the stand-in when neither Huw or Fiona can present. Plus they have presented a few times each since Jan 2003. Dermot is actually really good, but as people say, Breakfast doesn't suit him.

Do we know the official reason why the new Breakfast regional weather arrangements have been dropped?

Have they actually realised that it was a bad idea from the start?
