I actually like it better than what they have now... obviously based on Sky as you say, but it's very nice. I don't like the way it cuts from one view of the globe to another though.

Some quick ideas for logo tweaks. Why would they wanna do this? I dunno, maybe they dont - but who cares, this is a mocks forum and you're gettin this crap whether you like it or not!
One thing this time though... you gotta click here. It'll take you to my site, all you need to do is click on the link you want under the latest bit to the left - thats either the ITV logo ideas or BBC logo ideas.
Please DONT comment on the site because its crap at the mo, just see the actual mocks. They're not great but I'd like to know what you think are the positives and the negatives

The logo at the moment doesn't look 'real' enough... the 'bevels' at the side of the logo make it look odd and quite cheaply done.
I have have had a go at how I think the ITV logo should look. I think your mocks, Lee, are more 2-d but look great with the colour gradient (like the itv 2 logo). My mock of the ITV logo retains it's 3-dness but I think looks more realistic that the current 'chiseled from stone' one... it's very similar to the 'fridge magnet' logo that featured on the ITV News promo we saw before the re-launch and looks as though the edges are curved.

I'd love a 3D big ben clockface like the one on ITV News, I have a 3D model of big ben.. Puzz3D to be exact, but I dont seem to be able to import it into Carrara. Just as well really because I'm missing the hour hand and I dont wanna go back to all that 'News at When' crap.
So if anyone passes by and has a DXF or something similar, please let me know!

Nice one MoD. It sticks with the icky tacky ITV graphics a bit too much for me, but it looks very authentic and could pass easily for a real ITV1 ident. Any chance of doing one using the much nicer and less plasticy style of the latest ITV News graphics?
