Did anyone else think the opening headline bed was everso slightly different? I know the closing one was new, but it seemed like there was a slight difference to the opening as well...
Dissappointed by lack of new graphics, but otherwise OK IMHO.

In my opinion, I think the new titles are great. Its just a shame they havent' changed any of the astons. Why don't they put the headline spinning around the globe instead of just BBC News logo?
IIRC, the new titles (barring the music), are based on the 1 o'clock bulletin on News 24 and the News summary on BBC World.

He means that the BBC One titles are similar to the TX versions of News 24/World's new titles, which are only usually used at 1300 on N24 and for weekend summaries on BBC World. For all other hours, the live rendered titles are used (which have the headline spinning around rather than 'BBC News')

I like the new music and titles, the logo could be bigger though. It's really the lack of a decent close to the one that annoys me, it makes it look so shoddy. Also the old graphics just look cheap and nasty compared to News 24's.

Listening to the music again it seems more shallow then the original, I love the upbeat ending, it's hard to describe but it sounds more "alive" then the old music.
EDIT: And at the start of the new titles there seems to be a more advanced multi-explosion that ties in with the music!

Someone told you there would be new titles, and everyone blows it out of proportion and speculates about all forms of sh*t fabricated from the bowels of their imagination.
"What a shoddy relaunch" - no-one said there was a relaunch, just some new titles.
"Disappointing" - no-one is trying to impress you with revolutionary news presentation - just updating some titles, yet everyone now starts sends out piles of crap about being letdown. Cue license fee argument...
