IIRC Martin Popplewell in the morning, then allan king and mai davies in the afternoon - sometimes double heading

Nope.

Martin and Lisa Aziz 10:00 to 16:00 and then Allan and Mai 16:00 to 00:00. For a little while at least...

Thanks. She's a good newsreader, although something about her doesn't "look" right with the station.

Agreed, her hair is truely awful, and that nasty crucifix she wears looks nasty.

She seems also to certainly be lacking personality.

...and is it just me or does it appear that she speaks through clenched teeth? Have a look- you mostly only see the BOTTOM set of teeth... strange...

Only a few days to go, if the rumours are to be believed, so what are we expecting?

I think no matter what they do, the fundamental problem with the channel - what's on it - is going to remain a problem.

Unless they pull their collective fingers out and get some sort of Sky News Today-esq programming on during the late evening 8-12, it is going to remain pretty dull. They seem to have just totally forgotten about the existence of an evening schedule... it seems to be there because it has to be.

a tweak to the slug, ident and graphics.

Nothing more, so I hear...

So why has it taken them so long, then, if all it amounts to is "a few minor tweaks"?

I appreciate there is more to it than just going on to the computer and having some fun with the airbrush, but come on...

Idents not ready, I heard. But perhaps they decided on a few last minute changes. Or are waiting to do the preperation work with the new Ireland bulletin.

There are some tweaked graphics on the way, so perhaps this is part of the changes!

That is a deffinet repaint there!! Or very bright lighting

If anything I'd say it's probably to do with the newsroom being too dark to shoot well, I've always thought it was a bit poorly lit when SNT came from it...

Is that the only newsroom, or is there one elsewhere, because it seems small for a 24 hour news channel.

It looks small and cluttered, have they never heard of clear desk policy ? Also those desks are awful, look like they got a job lot from Staples.

Fantastic to see the 1989 - 1993 Sky News section on TV-Ark get a mammoth update. I vaguely remember that awful red Live at Five look! Also, the legendary International Business Report.

As an aside, a few more faces - who you forget were on Sky News a fair few years ago.

And Bill Neely is in among the various weekend presenters on the TV-Ark pages, which is also where the pictures come from.
