I recorded all bulletins on ITV Wales today, even Andrew looked quite cheerful

I like the new titles and new look! Not so keen on the weather forcast being stuck on during the bulletin, it would be better if Lucy/Jon handed over to James or whoever is doing the weather via a screen, I dont like the sponsorship but stuck in the middle. The weather is obviously recorded so I think they should moved Ruth/James to Cardiff to do this as it would be better.

Otherwise the new look is great! WELL DONE ITV WALES!

Anyone think this is a better name?

Oh yes definitely, that looks great. It's such a stronger name -- Anglia have renamed to Anglia Tonight, it's just much more of a *title*, rather than just a description, if you see what I mean.

I’ve made loads of captures, but it’s pointless putting them all up, mainly cos you all saw it. I think the titles images are awful actually, they don’t show off Wales at all, they’re all grim -- a Welsh back street, a grey dockyard, and a rubbish tip! I mean, what’s that all about?

I'll put some up after we've rejoined Cardiff, of course with special studio guest, Peanut.

Yeah that would be better! They could call daytime bulletins ITV WALES NEWS but the 6pm and late bulletin could be ITV WALES TONIGHT!

I like the new map in the titles but would have preferred just a map of Wales.


Btw when Andy Collinson did that report behind the scenes of ITV NEWS, did anyone notice Sally as one of the people in the background, looks like she is doing stuff behind the scenes, maybe thats why she reads GMTV news less often than Andrew Jones does?

Did everyone notice we got some of the old HTV NEWS/WALES TONIGHT graphics, the 1994 and 1997 titles? I loved the 1997 ones which I think were based on the national anthem.

I thought the production caption that someone posted was a bit poor - the itv wales logo looked totally different to the normal itv1wales!

Anyway, can't speak for anyone else, but I don't get excited about very much at the moment. Especially if there's no Peanut. I hope not-normal's return wasn't a one off though. I bet his ears have been burning.

I've only got a packet of Frazzles and a can of Tizer -- I'll never get in. I have to be careful with pop, in case it makes me giddy, and what if I embarrass myself? It is my ambition though.

Well yes it is nice -- and appears much better proportioned too. Improvement all round.

Young Jez's idea of ITV Wales news and ITV Wales Tonight later is a good one, but can they be arsed to make two sets of titles? They have for other regions so I don't see why not.
