Fiona Armstrong said something about goodbye to the chairs (the big grey ones) on Lookaround, I think all the ITV plc regions are going to get a new look set etc.
Note the lack of those funny bench-style seats at the side of the desk. Not sure whether they're just for the News Channel, or have been scrapped altogether.
Central News says it will be called ITV Central, as Bob sais
Yeah...but do you think he means the station will be called ITV Central....or will the news be called "ITV Central"???
Can't imagine the announcer saying "Now, it's time for the latest ITV Central!"
Does this mean that other regions news will be called ITV Granada, ITV HTV, ITV Westcountry???
What do u think??? : :
I think what he was getting at was that the stations are still being branded as ITV1 throughtout the country but each centre will now be called - ITV Wales, ITV west, ITV Westcountry, ITV Central etc etc (just like the BBC)
Whereas the news programs will be named ITV Wales News, ITV Central News, etc etc
Therefore it looks like those regional idents stating ITV 1 for Central England will have to be changed next week aswell.
Central must have been through the most station names out of any region?

I expect that they will appear as and when needed, much like the Five News one. Just the same as the guest chairs on the current set are only wheeled on when in use.
When I saw Media Guardian's pictures of the new set, I thought ''hmm, that's ok'', but these pics on the Evening News today make it look spectacular, I hope the titles and stuff are because if so the relaunch will be great!
