Doesn't mean it wasn't true
Doesn't mean it *was*, either... unless you can prove otherwise?

I'm suprised Michael Howard was so quick to accept the integrity and the outcome of Hutton's obviously biased report.
OB
They broadcast one live report which was wrong and which they apologised for. 99% of what was broadcast was accurate. How many newspapers could claim such a record.
The government lead us to war on a false claim and there are no such resignations.
They were cleared by a law lord appointed by the Prime Minister
Total cover UP. They must not be allowed to get away with this
Indeed, I still await Hoons Resignation over the army equipment scandal

A tragedy for the BBC and for free speech in this country
Ah, the old "free speech" chestnut...
With the right to free speech comes responsibility. That responsibility is multiplied a thousandfold for a global news organisation like the BBC.
They broadcast an inaccurate report that contained unfounded allegations of the most serious kind. You might expect that from the gutter Press, but not the BBC. I think it's a shame that Dyke's had to go, but as the DG he has the ultimate responsibility for this catastrophic failure of journalistic standards.
Them's the breaks. Sometimes, it's *not* good to be the king.

I told you
It is unlikely to be proved. Memos go missing. Meeting minutes disappear. Emails vanish. There was a lot Hutton asked for which the Government had conveniently lost.
Do you really believe those missing minutes would not be detrimental to the Governments position

And I would expect you not to be so naive
Who's being naive, when there are idiots spouting off on this forum about totalitarianism and free speech?

Well if you really believe that not a single member of the Government, Civil service or intelligence community did anything wrong, and that every member of the BBC acted wrongly, the you are so naive you could be a law lord

Do you have affliations with ITV or BSkyB, Glorfingeredupthearse?
Judging from the way you have such a petty and bloody-minded attitude on this forum, it's obvious you are either one of the following:
1. Some arsewipe at ITV / BSkyB
2. Member of the Labour Party
3. Alistair Campells f*ck buddy.

Sad day for the BBC. I see that US networks are picking the story up a bit now that the BBC's had two big resignations.
Of course Fox is reporting on its website (in video no less) that it's "Paying the price for its blatent Anti-Americanism". Yes. Of course that's the issue.

And stop being so critical, get a life
Wow! Evidence of a mature, analytical intellect there, Adam. I will, indeed, endeavour to "get a life"
Do you really believe those missing minutes would not be detrimental to the Governments position
Maybe they would be. Maybe they wouldn't. The fact that they are missing, though, proves nothing either way.
