Coronation Street

The new sponors appeared this morning for Cadbury Mini Creme Eggs, and it focuses on a couple on a street called Coronation Street but in Brighton. It has more of a Maltesers edge to it.

But thankfully it is no where near as annoying as the animated ones.

Next showing is on Plus at 5.30pm.

Well, thank god they've got rid of the annoying animated characters.

Wasn't it good!!! No annoying chirping bird, unfunny whoopie cushions, no annoying jingles......just blended quietly into the background, perfect.

So, Carl notices a "Badly Drawn Boy" CD in Katie's record collection, and Dev gives his "Badly Drawn Boy" concert tickets (for 4) to Todd.

It wouldn't even take the brain capacity of Les Battersby to see which way this is heading.

I noticed the new sponsorship on this mornings G+ episode, and also on tonights episodes on ITV1! I agree they are much better than the animated ones!

I loved the final scene tonight, with Tracey looking pleased with herself after cancelling the wedding.

Probabaly what will happen is Martin wont be able to go and Katy will ask Karl instead, hence Todd and Karl will meet. Its a pity Todd is such a wooden actor though, not as bad as Adam Rickett mind.

Maybe we should all club together to buy Nick that flat in Bury they were looking at, to get him off the street!. Although then we'd lose Maria as well which wouldn't be good

Good idea Andrew, although I wouldnt mind seeing Maria leave the street.

Id get rid of Nick, Maria, Todd, Kevin, Tyrone - all of those are either wooden actors or annoy me.

The new sponsors on the Street are not much! I have seen it about 4 times now on PLUS and ITV1 and that man is so annoying. The worst one is the bit that appears at end of part one. It’s his big nose and the way he shoves them in his large gob! Do Cadbury want us to eat all their chocolate like that and get fat! Well I'm sure they would not mot mind as long as those fat cats get lots of money!!
I hope a new one comes soon. When the first one of the last set started with that woman crying and saying 'He left me' and it was for buttons (I think that was the first one) well that was on for ages before the second one. In the North West their are 10 Coronation Streets (I think.....maybe 11) and one of those is Fictional so I wonder if a lot of them might be filmed in the North West.

Back to Corrie, I loved the way Tracey phoned up that woman at the end. If I ever got so upset with someone that’s something I think I would do to get back at them!! Go Tracey Go!

As for Todd (Whos not that wooden or annoying), I can name more folk who get up my !*!*!*, and the whole Karl do dar, well Just wondering how it will all pan out. Todd is still acting straight as a sausage. I would have thought he would have started to be ‘Less straight’ for a bit before he gets it on with a fella. I don’t meen start walking around in pink tank tops and a leather handbag, but you know. When do him and Sarah split??

Corrie on PLUS is good too (and Emmerdale, oh yes!). That pub quiz was such a disaster! Poor Bet brickin it now! I hate Ken and that Mark's mother. Now she is like a plank of wood!

Apparently Brian Capron is playing a baddie in WTHI too (though not a murderer I believe!)

I've heard rumours Bruno Langley is being written out. Surely not! I thought there were plans to explore Todd's sexuality fully and have a gay character living in the street. Don't tell me they are going to 'marry him off' (to a bloke) then have the two of them skip off into the land where controversial characters can live happily ever after?

The pub quiz on this morning episode was very good yes, I dont mind Maggie and Mark, Ken finds out the truth that he is Mike Baldwin's son soon.

Im sorry but Todd is so wooden, im surpised a fire didnt start when he kissed Nick who is also wooden, all that wood so close together

Tyrone is still worse! He always looks a mess. Does he just role out of bed with a Bacon role in his gob? I wonder? Anyway, did not know you hated Todd. I thought you like the character (even just slightly..........well very slightly then). I wonder if its true that Bruno is getting written out? Another case of gay today gone tomorrow! Shame Rita does not stock Attitude and Gay times. Very well aware that 'No one like that' lives in the area!

I agree about Tyrone, he is an OK actor but the character really annoys me. The way he looks on screen though is down to his character and doesnt really have any bearing on the actors abilities. The storyline is quite good IMO, but thats mainly down to Fizz and Kirk. I hope its Kirk she chooses in the end.

I start off disliking some people on the show like Maya, but ive warmed to her a bit and now quite like her although Juicy Lucy was *far* better. Unfortunately Bruno's acting has never improved. A lot of people think Keith Duffy and Kate Ford are wooden but I disagree with this, they are much better than the likes of Adam and Bruno.

Anyway I think this storyline with Todd and Karl happens around late Feb/early March. In Inside Soap today in the preview of next weeks storyline it says "Martin is happy that Katy's friend is gay - Is Todd even happier"?
Im also hoping for a Corrie cover next week as Tracy has her baby and DOES give it to the croppers apparently! I was impressed that both TV Choice and TV Quick had a Corrie with Tracy Love on it this week!
