So on to another topic.. Looks like Calendar is getting a brand spanking new music, graphics and set ... well set's apparently coming in later according to the ITV News thread... on here..

Just a shame it's not going to help them in the ratings with BBC.... well not unless they start doing proper journalism and not *Sloppy* journalism.... Razz Razz

What do you say to that YTV SOPHIE? Does anyone share these views with me?

And a further note to KATHERINE - did you try adding my MSN addy? - a while ago.. I remember blocking somebody straight off.... Thought it might have been you!

Indeed - ratings aren't likely to improve unless their editorial policy is improved, in both some regional programmes, and the national news. Although this apparent gimmick that might be introduced where the national news would be on at 6.00, Calendar and other regional programmes begin at something like 6.10, 6.15 or 6.20, and then the remainder of the hour is the rest of the national news, could have an impact, this is unlikely due to ITV1's very weak programming in the lead-in 5-6pm hour (it gets beaten by BBC One, BBC Two and Channel 4, and I think even sometimes five).

Erm...... why do I think this could be potentially inflammatory?

If you can promise me that there will be absolutely NONE of this silly gay Jew nonsense, or passing similar thoughts on from Phil.

Any repetition of that will mean INSTANT re-blocking.

Oh so I'm not the only one then.

I get along with Phil just fine when Andrew's not around.

I reckon you're probably one of those snotty media students invading the site again. You claim that 'Calendar's' editorial policy is weak. On what basis do you claim this? As far as I can see, it meets all the ITC's guidelines regarding content and YTV hasn't had a telling off for some ten years, and that was regarding co-production with Central Television. As ususal, probably somebody wanting a dodgy media graduate job with the BBC.

I will however agree that ITV1 has a poor line up upto 1800 hrs. I reckon it can't be long before that changes.
