Hmm, currently a two-line story-reminder thing with "Egypt Plane Crash", but not in the BLOODY HUGE normal lettering. Did it not fit in, or is this a rethink..?

A mistake. TOG needs reseting

I don't think so - I've seen it happen quite a lot before when the headline just won't fit on in the " BLOODY HUGE " size. It looks like the size they've used is the biggest they could get away with to squash all the text on.

I've found an example comparing the two...

The power prices story clearly has bigger text as it's only a small phrase, whereas the other one has been shrunk to fit.

Well better late than never - I've relaunched the BBC News 24 section at TV Home. It's probably not got anything that visitors to this thread haven't seen or read before but hopefully is still worth a look!

Interesting line in an article in today's Ariel about BBC1 daytime, which says that definite plans for 2004 include simulcasting News 24 between 1000 and 1030.

The new pages are great. Well done, Asa.

BTW, is this Huw Edwards?

I'm not Asa - but that is definitely Huw. I suspect it is from the era when he was News 24's Chief Political Correspondent. (He also presented the 1200-1600 slot with Valerie Sanderson when Krishnan Guru-Murhty left - along with George Alagiah, George Eykyn and Bill Turnbull who also stood in)

Yes. For example, Guto Harri is News 24's Chief Political Correspondent, although this doesn't mean he never appears on other outlets.

Is haveyoursay@bbc.co.uk now the main News 24 on-air email address?

I have to say it makes me think of youresohot@bbc.co.uk whenever I see it

Did anyone watch Peter Dobbie's bulletin at twelve yesterday, the title music was out of sync with the titles and last Sunday at eleven pm, the News 24 titles were really really jerky, so much so that the music went out of sync from the titles!

Why would they do this? And when would it start?

By the way, noticed they were using the UPDATE ticker on Monday a lot when the news about the letter bomb to that MEP broke.
