What would you rather watch; some men jumping up and down in a beautiful landscape or a celebrity you dont know sat on blue and yellow boxes?

Without wanting to destroy the actual ident, erm... actually no, go ahead and put it into Room 101. That was no tribal dance and the music was pretty appauling. Disastrous. Can it and bring back Ballet!

The music is appauling? I think it complements the ident well...sounds like authentic tribal/african instruments. What music do you suggest BBC ONE should use instead?

I would have suggested they use a "Bollywood"esque music rather then just, what I heard, were bland tones with no substance. Maybe I heard it wrong but I am certain that had they applied a little more time and effort with the music and camera movement they could have produced a far better ident.

The men are chanting...the BBC ONE jingle is played, then the music copies the chanting...excellent!

Just trying to count how many idents have a similar sounding soundtrack to them now...

BBC2's Bounce (the non-serious one)
BBC1's Masai Dancers
and the Balloon ident mentioned earlier in this thread...

Have a listen to the music on all 3 and you'll see what I mean!

It must be a good soundtrack then to be used all the 'supposed' times

Hmmm. Is your real name Lorraine H by any chance? Laughing

Jus' teasin'. This one is possibly my least favourite ident of the pack. Sorry.
