Argh! Why do people on this forum always do this! Isonstine take note:

Person 1: "it's going to be green"
Person 2: "here's my mock of green design"
Isonstine: "Wow, they're changing the colour to a completely sickening green. Oh, and they're changing the name"

Obviously here in TV Forum land, Person 1 is speaking the truth, person 2's mock is actually how it's going to look and therefore Isonstine's 'it's sickening' comment is perfectly valid the day before they appear on air.

Little out of hand don't you think?

Person 1: "the titles are not changing, just green on black I tell y'all"
Isonstine: "If they'd completely revamped the titles and dropped the globe and graphics associated with it then perhaps it could be a bit more justified - but it's changing just to be different. No need."

Note the use of the past tense class. Tomorrow's revamp has now happened in TV Forum land, as told in the gospel of person 1. Judgement is therefore taking place because we all know that nothing other than the colour of the globe has changed (sorry- is changing). Don't we.

All goes to show it doesn't matter what appears on screen tomorrow because here in TV Forum land- it's sh*t and a step backwards. Case closed.

You know, there are a few people on here who don't talk Bulllshiit, and know what they're talking about. Some of these people decide to give a snipet away, and that's fine. But then the fanatics get hold of it and start doing the mocks, which then get taken as the true relaunch graphics.

What i'm saying is, not all the info that appear on here is false.

Embarassed

When everyone first sees the new titles/set tomorrow, don't just instantly say "they're crap" or "disgusting" etc. Give them a chance at least.

Over on the News 24 relaunch thread, quite a few people were posting such comments just after the new titles/set aired, but later changed tack and started saying how they actually liked them all along.

Same applies here, and also with other new looks coming up, eg Sky News.

How many times do you hear a song for the first time, not like it, but then grow to like it.

Exactly.

You will find through my posts, that I always make a judgement and a considered one too, I haven't judged anything, it's that the current BBC Four titles were consistant with the new look and now you guys want to change it to erm green, I think IMHO, icy blue would have been better!

Oh well, we'll all pack up and go home shall we? Ideas and rumours and speculation are what keeps this forum going. I am more than perfectly entitled to cite my opinion about the information thus far.

My opnion is also entitled to change, which it may do tomorrow. God talk about a bloody party pooper.

Sometimes harshy, you really do make it far too simple:

Hmm, I'm slightly confused but nevermind. Onwards and backwards:

Enough said.

And as for Dog- I haven't got a clue if you're telling the truth or not- I'm not trying to stop insiders posting clues as to a new look...I would encourage this. However some people don't seem to be able to take these with a degree of scepticism and treat them as the certain truth the moment they hit the forum.

But in answer to her question, the titles are the same as the old ones, but instead of the globe being red on a black backround, they're green on a black backround.

.

I think you will find that any infomation related to any relaunch is confidental

If this is true, then good, but *I* did not make a judgement based on those mocks, I made a judement that green is totally out of character with BBC News and it seems strange, scratch that, bizarre to use a strong primary colour which has no relation at all to any other BBC News output. Even if "The World" was being distinctive it seems illogical to use green.

Don't forget BBC Four usually play a trail for Four News just after they come on air at 7pm. Can't guarantee they will today, but it could be the first chance to see the new set Smile

all this talk of green, could it be people getting the idea from this?
