Caught a bit if Breakfast this morning on News 24 and noticed that even though it wasn't being simulcast on BBC ONE after 0730, they still avoided using the full News 24 graphics set, i.e. large letter info/story straps, but used the smaller versions. Is this because that even though the programme is only being broadcast News 24, it’s still branded as "Breakfast" and therefore uses watered down graphics till 0900? I don’t see why the full graphics can’t be used when Weekend 24 or Breakfast is broadcast at weekends, are they viewed as too “in your face” for BBC ONE or TWO viewers?!

But your username suggests that you're probably gonna do that. I'm sure Martin Anderson will do the same.
And if nothing appear, you'll be the first on here moaning that nothing has happend, and you'll be demanding to know why.
And if something does happen, you'll also be on here, more than likely saying that it's a disgrace, and why did they have to change it; the old style looks better; then offer a load of your own advice, and round we go again.....

Dog I do agree with you! But you do remind of the Dead Ringer's impression of Greg Dyke - you're not by any chance him are you?

Are we that predicable? We had several people stating a similar 'opinion' of what would happen come the News 24 relaunch. "Oh you'll hate it", "You'll say you preferred the old style and could do better". And did we? The mass majority of us were very happy with what happened with the relaunch. Same with the ITV1 Christmas idents. Again, all of us were impressed with the design of the Graphic ident.
Our nature is to offer criticism on what we see, whether that be a badly lit, tiny photo on a website or on a surround-sound widescreen TV. When it comes to a relaunch, we're more inclined to say "yeah, this is good but I don't like this or this" and give specifics. It's human nature. And we're all entitled to change our minds.
