I've never seen it lit before...

I bet half the staff haven't either!
Has the place had any proper downtime since Sky News went on air?

its like SKYnews Big Brother at the moment. The presenter just sitting alone in the gallery drinking from a mug. He seems to be talking to someone off camera...

Who knows, for all we know the Sky News team are having their Christmas Party. Jez Thompson is rotten drunk dancing on the tables and Gordon is the sober one, he's keeping lookout for James Murdoch Smile

'scuse my ignorance, I'm new, but...

Anyone know what the little room is for next to the gallery. The one we can see through the window?

I think someone mentioned it was the room with the Digi-Beta Cart tapes...

Lots of the screens are showing a looped animation of a globe. Could this be the CSO or maybe a precursor to the new look?

God Martin you aren't half boring. Everything seems to be a "precursor to the new look" or something.. why not wait and actually see?

And once again.. it's Sky News. Not SKYnews.

Cor.. if that's a CSO, it's pretty hard to tell - the only difference I can notice is that the newswall isn't turning red for breaking news while it's in vision. And the lack of wide shots. And people in the newsroom.

Still, it's a bit less obvious than News 24's first day in the CSO setup

They probably have TV Forum on a PC that we can't see and are doing things to see how much they can fool Martin and get him excited Very Happy

I know if I knew people on a forum were watching me in the gallery I'd start putting pictures up on main monitors to see how observant people can be.

Well when there is not much else to do, you do tend to look at these kind of events with more attention than you should.

But why not! Something to look forward to with New Year's Day.
