Well I dont think so.

Well London has already had a news channel of sorts, called Channel One. It was unsuccessful.

It may have escaped your notice, but the UK is considerably smaller than the US, and so there just isn't a need for a London news channel. London's news is more than covered by both national and regional broadcasters.

Well it may have escaped your notice that the NATIONAL channels do a rubbish job of handling local stories that affect Londoners. Local news for London can be done. In a similar way that LBC News 1152 am covers Londons news in rolling format 24hrs a day. And as far as Channel One goes it was unsuccessful because it was implemented badly. With millions of people living in this city there are certainly stories that bares watching and cover more than the national channels. Why do you think the transport and city government is rubbish? Because the local media doesnt call them on the mat enough. In Canada Toronto has a 24hr news channel and population of Canada and Toronto are smaller than London and the UK. CablePulse24

It's interesting how you always revert to staying "on topic" when someone attempts to prove you wrong...

We all have opinions that we'd like to express. And that doenst make anyone wrong. I dont think its fair when people get shouted down for expressing their views. I was trying to be nice. But you can take a smiley face whatever why you'd like. Have a horrible weekend then if you prefer snarky combacks. respond if you must but I'm done reading this thread.

Yes you are correct...and they (sky) supplement the in-house LBC reporters...sky provides national news.

No I am not wrong about CNN. Having actually been there, I think I'd know.

Well, little girl, having worked at CNN Centre for 3years I think I know what I'm talking about. Taking a tour and working in the building are different things. Knowitall. And I'm sure you'd find a nice, comfy place to hide a carrot. Cool
Oh and dont choke on your xmas pudding. toodles

Bollocks. I don't think you're old enough/intelligent enough to hold down a crayola, let alone a job.

It is a matter of fact that the vast majority of the CNN America is produced across one open floor; you can dispute it all you like, but it's true regardless.

Curious spelling of Centre you have there, for one attempting to pass himself as working there for 3 years. Pull the other one.

I should be in bed, but I've just come home from a nice nite out... and i'm wide awake. I've got half a bottle of martini which I found ungarded in the kitchen which I will down shortly.

Anyway, it looks like sky news is now coming from a cso set. It doesn't look quite right to me, there is a slight black line around the presenter.

Aah, how festive. The assistant director's wearing a Santa hat.

(wait, maybe it is Santa?)

Is it me, or is their festive newswall background the same one that they used last year?

Oh dear...I'm posting on the forum on christmas day. How very sad.
