ITV1 Christmas Idents:

Christmas look between 24th and 31st December. Festive Idents, Next holders; break bumpers & opticals will be used.

Style is the snowflake - not too unlike what is on the promos!

That bit is accurate.

I would guess that the celebrity idents are having a festive holiday for a week and animations will be used.

My bet is we will just get something like this:

(using the UTV ident cap from thetvroom.com)

Hope I don’t get told off for this, I didn’t want to start a new topic in the mocks forum because there is no point just for one ident.

Anyway it gives an idea of what we might get since the idents are meant to be based on the snowflakes promos. Smile

It could well look like that - only time will tell!

Festive though!

I have to say ITV1 Pres are good at sorting specialist idents - good on 'em! We may even get something for New Year Wink

Yep. I think ITV1 will look very close to that (Except for the UTV black background and middle line will be replaced by the blue squares background like the current news ident).

I am pleased with BBC Two this year, but the ident does not really look for just the xmas period. I could see that being used any time of the year, where as the 2001 ident look like it can only be used at xmas.

As for BBC ONE, well why bother talking about it. May as well have a frozen caption before each program! I am already sick of seeing the ident and whats worse, I hate the way the regions play it! It looks a mess!

Absolutely ridiculous! I'm starting to ask myself which year it is, 2001, 2002 or 2003?

Have you considered using a calendar, diary or your watch (if it's digital)? Very Happy

You may want to visit the doctor and get your blood pressure checked. Heaven alone knows how high it will go when ITV1 fails to do Christmas. Razz

Yeah Neil, Steve has already said that they are going to use the snowflake theme from christmas eve to new years eve.

With them ending them on new years eve, perhaps, like Carlton did, they are planning or have a new years ident with fireworks and such like. At least itv1 have something new and different this year!

Why do I need to visit the doctor? It's Lorraine Hegessey who needs her head examining.

Yes, as said a few pages ago in this thread, it was before Jetset on Saturday Night.

How disappointing that BBC One are using IDENTICAL images from last year instead of even changing them slightly. The snowflake thingamejig with BBC ONE in the middle spinning around would have been a cheap and effective alternative and even if it was alternated with the toddlers from hell would have something more interesting to look at. The only thing I am curious about is how Steve knows that ITV will be doing a Christmas ident when the ITV duty office says that there won't be.
