re martin's question above, I've heard the newsroom is being 'redesigned' by the same person who oversaw the Millbank design changes.
We expect the studio desk to be modified in some way as well.

My next booked shift there is on New Year's Eve, when I'll be vision-mixing with dodgy chromakeys till 130 am. Great.

Should look pretty snazzy then.

I'll be happy as long as there are backlit Sky News logos. Presumably the desk will be similar to the Westminster one - wood and metal effect.

Tragedy is that when they launched the present design it looked fantastic, and the mirrors made it look huge; but it only took them a couple of months to move everything around and totally ruin it.

Looks like it's being done by David Dickinson's brother.

I know Sky Sports News has BSL onscreen at 2.00am, I think this happens most nights. As they've been doing that for a while too.

It's a good idea though having BSL via Active, shame other channels can't follow that option.

It's in-vision on Freeview between 06:00 and 08:00 Smile

According to my software notes, the BSL signing began on November 9th. I know because it crashed my capture program... Sad

I have been looking back at the previous logo, and I thought that they could tweak the logo, using an idea in the last look logo...

The addition of the yellow would broaden the colour pallete available for graphics etc. Here are a couple of ideas I am working on:

The bottom one is my prefered choice so far...

But would News 24 spell Ozzy's name incorrectly? Wink

Best guess is that the DOG will move down to cover part of the ticker, not sit above it.

But I am nearly always wrong about these things, so god knows.

Bob Friend is currently being interviewed on LBC 97.3's media show

I missed the start but will try to upload a recording in due course.
