Okay, I can't let this fester any longer. I know it's the most petty awful thing in the world, but it's irritating me, and I can't let it do that anymore.
Ministry of Design, I really don't appreciate the fact that you threadjacked me. This was my thread with my wallpaper, and you came in and "slapped it in my face" because I was "too slow". On a forum, this is fine. Objectively, I can't see anything wrong with it. And yes, the image is arguably better than mine is. I don't have any contention about that.
But personally and professionally, it's maddeningly heinous. Think of it as if you jumped in whilst I was in the bathroom and stole my client from me. That's not cool. I feel very petty and teen-angsty feeling this way, which I don't fault anyone else but myself for. But understand, MoD, that if you act like a showoff, you'll get treated like a showoff.

I understand why you are upset, I really do, but to be fair, MoD had as much right as anyone to post his own mock. I am confused. Are you suggesting he should have started a new thread, or God forbid, that he should not have even posted at all?
I could be completely wrong, but I don't believe MoD jumped in just to wind you up. You yourself said you weren't able to do the possible changes for the time being, which is quite alright, so he just did a mock himself. You accuse MoD of being a showoff. Well by the way you've demonstrated your disgust at him posting his version the only person in my opinion who looks like they're showing off is, unfortunately, you. I've never seen this jealous streak in you before MrTom. I'm quite surprised!

I don't see how me uploading a crap version of that logo is showing off, you may get that impression from the way I act but it's only my online personality. I'm joking about with you that's all (not to be confused with 'winding you up').
You're not exactly slow anyway, you just make sure it's right like I said. But you can see all the errors in my pic cant you?! It was thrown together and looks crap really. Yours is graphically more accurate.
Anyhoo, I didn't mean to threadjack your thread - although I did. People should PM me in future about this design, I've taken the link off the other page.
You're very good at what you do, don't get me wrong! I just want to make sure that you didn't have one of those typical "I'm a great designer, and the rest of you are crap!" attitudes about things. I've worked for people like that before, and sometimes the signs jump out at me.
Please, I invite you to post whatever you like here, so feel free. Sorry if I came across as a bit pîssy ... but yesterday was a foul day at the office, and I'm sort of dreading going back this morning.

I come across as being a show off and big headed online sometimes, but people need to take it with a pinch of salt. I know I have some sort of flare for design (otherwise it wouldn't have been encouraged all these years), but how good I am at it isn't up to me.

There's not much you can do about a foul day at the office except take a big bag of whoopie cushions and a good pair of running shoes.
Here's my version of the wallpaper - but this time with the swirly letters. When I find out how to upload Photoshop files so that people can download them, I will upload them.
