I can imagine a two-line stap becoming available for major news - we've already seen that the big strapline can shrink up and down - so potenially 2 lines of text are available. I'd say it would be something like:

ROYAL DEATH
HRH Elizabeth II has been found
dead at Buckingham Palace.

Somehow a Royal death would not occur like that, especially if it was the Queeny!

Confused Shocked

Why the hell not? She doesn't have a guard in her bed you know.

(Another royal might though...)

I was refering to the reporting of the death, if you look at the previous qoute made by someone.

Of course the queen could be found dead, but i was talking about the reporting of it.

I'm off to watch from my bed for a while (it's past my bedtime and I'll probably fall asleep).

Quite - it would say:

HM Elizabeth II has been found
dead at Buckingham Palace

The lighting is certainly better... fresher... it does give the presenters a youthful look...

Uplighting is always the best light (I know that from the industry I work in), which is being given off by the desk...

Lol, indeed.

I like the appearance of the globe between headlines.

Yeah, it's looking a bit like a sci-fi set though. I keep expecting red alert to be called Smile

From the caps Philip Hayton looks at least 15 years younger!

Bloody hell - that studio can do miracles!

We had a power cut here between 8.45 and 9.30, so I missed the big event...

No it wouldn't.. sounds like the Queens dead body has just been 'found', 'stumbled across'...

More like...

The Queen is Dead...

then...

HM The Queen died peacefully in her sleep

I was correcting someone who said that but instead of putting 'HM', put 'HRH'. Queeny is a Majesty - not a Royal Highness.

Anyway..back to topic.
