Freelance showbiz journalist Neil Sean has been signed up to provide celebrity exclusives for Sky News’s Sunrise programme. Sean, a regular contributor to New!, Best, Metro and the Daily Star Sunday, will appear at 7.50am. “We intend to create the ultimate water cooler office talking points of the day,” he said.

Those screens be the gallery.
Yep - in a previous incarnation didn't Sky News shoot 180 degrees the other way - using the gallery rather than the newsroom as a backdrop?
Noggin - I reckon what you must be thinking of is when (prior to the latest look) the newswall was just a bank of monitors. Looked very similar to the gallery monitor bank.
AFAIK, they have always shot from the angle they shoot at now.
Wonder why they have never taken advantage of the gallery angle, though - would make a nice shot under some situations. There is, of course, still of the wood panels with plasma screens on that have only been used a couple of times (local elections and budget) and could potentially make the output look more interesting.
They showed the wrong pre-recorded leader comment and Richard fluffed his words and said "f*ck it, i'm so sorry.." and somebody in the background said "is that right?"
Whoops! A bodged up version of the recorded "Littlejohn's Leader" at the top of the Littlejohn went out tonight. Looks like they played the wrong recording, as it had Littlejohn literally f*cking up his comments, and yelled out "oh f*ck" or something like that. They then cut to Littlejohn live looking quite embarrased.
Their were also problems on the news itself at about 6.50, the newswall was showing the wrong things (mainly VT that should have been shown full frame), the vision went blury, and no straps or slugs could be shown. Vision mixer problem again?
I saw the Littlejohn "problem" - please somebody say they have recorded it!!
I was eating and the sound turned down but it looked like a normal "Leader" (which I assumed was always live) until he threw back his head and uttered something which I couldn't hear and then it cut to his face (live) which was a picture!
edit: Blimey, just read the post two up - somebody really must have recorded that, it's a Sky News classic. I would have thought they would have a strict no-swearing policy on all sets where there is a possibility of something going live.
There was a hiccup on Sky News Today earlier during a sports bulletin - instead of cutting straight back to Martin Stanford, there was about 2 seconds of Sunrise with Simon McCoy saying "she hasn't got a camera" (don't ask, I tend to avoid Sunrise these days), before going back to Martin in the newsroom, who looked rather bemused. That's the second time I've seen that happen over the past week or so.
Would have liked to have seen the Littlejohn incident - perhaps someone's idea of revenge?
