No I've already got Poser, but that's where the 3D presenters will come from. My Poser program will probably be used with this new software provided all goes to plan. I want to see if its any good first before I tell you what I got. It looks good though.
I have to say I like them. Miles better than the current one... which isn't too easy to remember - All i can remember of it is red rippes expanding over local images - and I only watched it at lunch on friday!!!
I really don't want to tell anyone yet until I actually have it in my hands and I've done something with it. Don't ask why it's just my stupid way sometimes. It's "state-of-the-art" software (apparently) that can produce photo-realistic images/video. It's also been used to create an opening animation for an NBC regional news programme, and someone on here has created a mock using it. Any guesses?!
It's not what you'd call the ultimate in professional software, it's just the next step up from the stuff I have now. Among other things I'll be able to create animating lens flares, bent text, explosions, fireworks, distance blur, and more. All things I
cant
do with Bryce.
There are also different settings for creating cartoons, interactive websites, realistic atmospheres/scenes (meaning realistic news studios to me), 3D flash files (very handy for me), and other artistic settings.
There are tonnes more features, you may already have guessed what the program is but it's not one mentioned on here often (once I think). It may be a crap program to others' standards but it's good for me because I'm already familiar with the interface, and I don't want to have to get used to a new interface.
Like I said, this is the next step up for me, it's a good program IMO and I managed to get £100 off the original price (because I'm already a user of one of their programs) so I just had to buy it, but I'm not getting my hopes up because I've ordered stuff before and it hasn't come - plus I haven't ordered from this company before. It's not here 'til it's installed!
Sorry, I just have a bad feeling about something and I'm not getting too excited. I'll let you know the name soon!

As for a Ministry of Mayhem mock, Joe (sirthaw) has asked me to do a mock and I said I'd do it in ten minutes. I did, and I thought it was crap. I could have another go though. We'll see how it goes, it would be appropriate seeing as my nickname starts with Ministry of...
I already have the clean version but thanks anyway.
Like I said, I'll animate it when I get the new software. It hasn't arrived yet but when it does I'll have a go. I'm keeping everything crossed it comes tomorrow. Seven years later ...
Ministry of Design, those ITV News-mocks look great and far more beautiful than ITV News' current design. The red is clear but not irritating and the graphics are also very nice!
The software is here, it's installed, it's working fantabulously, and it's called Carrara 3. I'm making that ITV News mock right now
[edit] Gave up on the ITV News mock because there was nothing to the design, too simple. I'm rendering a BBC News 24 mock.. Have done the first 3 seconds, doing the next 2 second (so half way through almost) then the last bit and the logo forming.. which reminds me, I gotta design a logo first
I must say compared to my other animations, this is a hell of a lot better, and it's going so quick which is always a bonus. It's already half way through this second section of animation and I only started it a few minutes ago, if I was working in Bryce I wouldn't be able to do these effects and I'd still be on the first section.
