when i came to extracting it i needed a password

I know nothing of a password. Have others had any problems?

I cant find all my BBC stuff!!

Have found some past designs though - i think

BUT, until I can sort them all out, guess what!!! Yay! Sky News!!!

I know, I know. But I thought they could freshen up their work a bit and bring the third dimension into it. They changed their opening from a bursting-with-energy flat logo — to a hovering slightly 3D logo. So why not do the same to the astons instead of keeping them so.. plain?

Just an idea anyway. I'd much rather have this 3D look than bright red and bright blue flooding the screen, even if it wasn't used in this way. K, thats my point made sorry for all the Sky News mocks

I'd like to congratulate 'Ministry of Design' for a fantastic work on this thread, especially the first Sky Movies mocks.

I'd like to know what font is used for the MOVIES/CINEMA words... and how could I get it...

It's a font called Cochin. Sorry I don't know where I got it from!

It could be a font pre-installed on Mac OSX though.

The old mocks I found on CD's weren't up to much so I decided they weren't worth posting.

I have had a few moments today to come up with more GMTV mocks! Hurray!!

Firstly the main GMTV ident, would be very short and the music wouldn't exactly be music, think of the music as it is now (the 4 notes) but it wouldn't be that sound/instrument making those 4 notes, it would be something softer.

Thinking of the original ident, you know those little yellow drops that come in from the top right hand corner? Well on here they would drop into the ident from the bottom right corner of the (virtual) camera lens...

The VT of whats coming up would then burst in from the left overlaying the ident, while you can still see the animation of the background looping at the bottom of the screen.

Again the music would be softer than it is now, but not quite as soft as the music they breifly changed it to in September.

Comments welcome as usual. I'm not sure about having the GMTV logo animate to begin with straight after the break, maybe it could go straight into the headlines/top story part, the today logo animates after that, then to the presenters. I've always been quite interested in the different ways the programme is (and could be) edited at the top of the hour.

If anyone wants to animate this (!!!) let me know!

Your mocks have always been superb. But this is amazing. It's taking the current brand, and tweaking it slightly and adding it to things.

I like the idea of the bog man, but what else could it work for?

It would be a nice animation if the menu was included as part of the ident, so you see a clip of the programme later as the toilet flushes, and the one now in the mirror, before leaving, letting the door shut and having the man become the 4.

I'd like to see a christmas design from you with this idea please sir.

What Ministry, would you do with itv1 for christmas, if the design brief was to make it festive, special, and have the same effect as the 2001 channel 5 christmas idents?

My original idea was to see lights and blurred images of a public bog - nothing too personal, someone washing their hands, it's blurred enough so you cant make a face out, but you can see what they're doing.

That would be the menu part. Then the door closes and the twiglet man animates.

But of course, as strange as it may seem, I dont actually have a video of a public bog. Nor would I go through the embarassment and trouble of having a wooden 'mens bog' sign made and have it nailed, taped, blue-tacked, and chewing-gummed to some public bog in a busy city centre, while I film people with a digital camcorder washing their hands as they leave!

Main reason being because we're all dirty b*****ds here in Norwich and we (NOT including me) don't actually wash our hands

Anyhoo, back to the ident. I will come up with more C4 idents as I have a few idea's (one to be exact) flying (more like zimmerframing) around my head now. I also have some idea's for some Christmassy ITV idents. I already have my groovy 7ft tree up (what?!) so maybe I take some pics and use them in the ident
