Just watching Breakfast this morning. Couldn't help wondering if Mike Sargeant is a relation to John Sargeant. Maybe I'm imagining it, but there seems to be a resemblance.
George is having another week off the six next week, as Bill is doing it instead (hooray!). Jon Sopel is filling in for Bill on Sunday and Friday Breakfast.
And it looks like change is afoot for Breakfast - instead of finishing at 9:00, they are finishing at 9:15 all next week, and it doesn't look like one of their "eventy" bits either (all according to Radio Times). So it could be an extra fifteen minutes for Breakfast every day from now on!

I always think this - why does Sophie always do that bit when Bill (or Jon in this case) is there. They are both far more authoritative as presenters. This isn't to say Sophie isn't good - she just suits the co-presenter role better.
Lets Get This Clear! Sophie is the CO - Presenter, so if the main presenter is away she takes charge. Its like a Headteacher and a Deputy Headteacher, if the headteacher is away, the deputy head leads the school. Thats what happens on The 6 O'Clock News. She IS the Regular Presenter, so its only right she main presents when George Alagiah is away! Hope That Makes Sense!!

Keep your hair on! Yes, we all know that that IS what happens on the 6:00 News. Some of us were merely suggesting that it SHOULD BE different.
Sorry that maybe the case skynewsfreak. But Madame Raworth telling us about a serious political story and then the more heavyweight Bill / Jon telling us about rubber ducks or someting pointless. It should be done on experience, style and who seems to be the best, not just Madame Raworth because shes usually the next in line.
