A CiTV ident is rendering now. Should be done by tomorrow. Will look into the music and see if I can find a good one.

CiTV update •> The first part of the movie is complete, and has been edited along with the music. I'm now waiting for the last bit to render which should be done later today - it shouldn't take long bacause there are only 51 frames in the last sequence.

The Animation...
The first part of the animation is of a Lava lamp. The camera zooms in on it from a distance and then there are various 'interesting/weird' views of the lamp. The lava forms into a C, then the logo (the final sequence rendering now) animates in.

The Logo...
Although you said not to use the yellow globe, I have. But it's not a globe, wait and see! The whole logo is made from those metaballs in Bryce (liquid balls that can animate onto one another to make it look as if 2 or more metaballs are forming into one). The logo is similar to the old one but I think this will still be a good animation.

There would be more versions of the animation, maybe an alien crop circle made into the shape of a C, or a toy robot with a C on it's chest bit, etc.

Back soon with the completed animation / an update.

Having problems with a black blob that keeps appearing in all my renders, have now corrected the problem and re-rendering. Should be done later tonight, hopefully.

Interesting mock. Excellent animation. The design and animation is excellently done. The only thing I don't like is how it ends. i.e. the actual logo. The 'C' looks better as the lava, and it could really escape the current design.

For example, by incorporating the 'itv' corporate logo, it means that nothing else would need to be added (other letters and background).

I have quickly added the corporate logo in two different forms to a still from your animation, as the lava forms the 'C', just before your logo forms.

In the first, the itv logo would appear (fade up) as the C finishes forming.

In the second, the itv corporate logo would be part of the metal base of the lava lamp, with the C floating above it.

Thats a really good idea! Gimme a few hours of sleep and I'll have a go tomorrow.

I like how the ident ends but you're right that the C in the lamp and the C in the logo dont match and it's just not right!
