The first slide looks like have originated as a slide, but BBC Wales may not have been outputting it from a physical slide.

Looks like the satellite channels page needs updating. Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney (aka Disney Junior) should be moved from the list of active channels to the defunct digital TV channels section, because they closed down recently.

Also, History Channel should be moved to the Sky section because it's now Sky History, and Sky 3 shouldn't be listed as an active channel - either move it's page to the defunct section, or merge it with Pick's since they're actually the same channel.

Same with the US channels. Some logos haven't been updated, and there's no distinction between Current and Defunct channels (e.g. UPN and The WB are just chilling with the cable channels despite being linear networks... and defunct.)

Well, they actually merged. Became the CW. Which is pretty much WB in all but name considering around half the output nowadays is DC Comics related!

Well, really, half became the merged CW, while the other half Fox swooped up and turned into "MyNetworkTV", perhaps the biggest flop in American TV history (and that's saying something).

This clip from the last day of TV-am is interesting as it features a goodbye from the (presumably Thames?) announcer at the start, and oh my god it's in stereo! The TV-am theme in stereo!

Even though they didn't replace the title sequence for Good Morning Britain in the entire time it was on air, I do notice one subtle change from the original version of the sequence.

The pigeon footage being shown the right way round when it was reversed originally?

I guess you could argue the TV-am logo at the start changing too.

Yeah the pigeon footage changed direction at some point. I dare say they well and truly got their money's worth out of the skydivers, the pigeons, HMS Hermes and however many people it was who froze their arses off on the Bristol Downs one Sunday morning for four hours apparently, considering the end result stuck around most mornings for the next decade.

HMS Hermes was apparently sold the following year in 1984 to India, where she continued to sail for another 20 years, and now various entities in India can't decide whether to scrap her or use her as a floating museum.

I’d not realised this until now! The “GOOD” clip before it has also been reversed so the banner gets closer to the camera but I’m not sure whether the original or newer version was forwards.

Just checked it, you are right. In 1983 it "zooms out" from the banner. By 1992 it was zooming in. In fact it zooms in further than it did originally, as it ends up ultimately filling the screen. It didn't do that originally, you could see more of the surrounding sky before it zoomed out. Good spot! Thumbs up
