Rob, I wonder if there is anything you could put in place in conjunction with Asa to allow people to pre-register with their TVF username to avoid the inevitable idiots who will think it's funny to sign up with a well established name, either to block the existing user from using it or to trash their reputation by trolling the new forum?

I don't know - subcontracting it out could be a real time-saver and frankly I'm sure I'm at the top of some people's lists for a recast. Very Happy

I'd rather start afresh, with a clean slate. The pre-registration set-up I've got is quite useful in weeding out the idiots (1 down, probably a few more to go...)

So does that mean I'm not allowed in?

I'm glad to see there's a focus on radio too - just hope it doesn't end up like its counterpart on Digital Spy.

That's why I voted no on the Twitter poll, but hopefully the usual suspects will stay on DS.

I reckon it'll be fine - I trust Rob and know that he and his team will fully moderate the site. I think covering radio is extra important at the minute due to so many stations adding cameras and in some cases graphics (e.g. TalkRADIO, LBC to some extent).

The radio forum won't be happening now, as it will be clashing with Metropol. The last thing I want to do is tread on anyone's toes. I want to establish a good working relationship with that site, to ensure that the community is happy.

Will it still be permitted to create threads about radio presentation in unusual scenarios (e.g. the fact that TalkRADIO is now more of an online TV station than a radio station) if the chatter is kept strictly to the studio and graphics?

That should be fine. Smile

I've mentioned this on Twitter but I'll mention it here too for transparency. Will non-presentation threads like that of the recent Eurovision and The Masked Singer threads be allowed?
