Yes, it was. Used to love the 9.25am gameshows on ITV when I was growing up. There was one with a massive keyboard too but the name escapes me.

All Clued Up.

Lost in the depths of the TVS archive.

Various other websites seem to suggest TVS didn't only have input into this, Action Time and a now defunct other production company too? "TVS in association with Lorimar-Telepictures and Action Time". Well Lorimar doesn't seem to have lasted very long on its own, the result of a previous merger and then a takeover by Warner (although they made the original format in the US, The $1,000,000 Chance of A Lifetime" that All Clued Up was based on) and Action Time got eaten by Carlton. But again, its another example of a format that bombed in the US and was (just) more successful abroad in other markets.

Seems like they are conducting auditions before deciding who gets the gig permanently.

I don't know the doctors but surely Anderson and Savannah's regular roles make them non-starters to take the job permanently.

Dr Mehmet Oz is a TV doctor of ill-repute who promotes pseudoscience and "alternative medicine". Dr Sanjay Gupta is the CNN doctor who's appeared a lot during the pandemic.

I reckons it’ll go to Ken in the long run.

More sad news coming in for the team at Jeopardy recently. Alex Trebek's final Jeopardy Champion Brayden Smith, who won over $115k on the show just days before Alex's passing, has recently lost his own battle with pancreatic cancer at 24 years old.

Brayden was not Alex Trebek's final champion. He was the last 5 time champion of the Trebek era.

He didn’t have cancer, he died unexpectedly. The article is saying that he was one of the last champions under Alex, and that Alex has lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Interesting twist in the guest host setup - seems as if due to current Covid restrictions some have been delayed in starting their guest hosting (or cancelled) and Ken Jennings was otherwise engaged so the executive producer has stepped in for a few weeks instead! (And has gone down quite well with the viewers too it seems)

From a presentation point of view "Please welcome the executive producer of Jeopardy Mike Richards!" was quite a unique introduction!
