Crazy to think for one reason or another SNT hasn't had a full normal series since 2017, 2018 had a week missing and Dec presenting solo for 2 weeks assisted by Stephen Mulhern & Scarlett Moffatt, then they took 2019 off and in 2020 they had 4 normal shows, a week without the studio audience and 2 recorded episodes from home. It won't be a normal series this year either I'd imagine and things could change like last year but at the same time I have been a massive fan of Ant & Dec since SMTV Live so looking forward to it.
The trajectory of Saturday Night Takeaway will always be for me the indicator of how much changed so quickly
Week 1 - hundreds in the studio and plans for a foreign holiday in 6 weeks time
Week 6 - presented from home, with recorded highlights

Guess they'll replace "A Place on the Plane" with "A Place in Quarantine" this series.
Things moved so quickly, yet so slowly, in that week before lockdown. Remember making plans at work only to tear them up on practically daily basis as things changed.

Surely Win The Ads will be the same as how they did it during the pandemic last year?
Place on the Plane certainly can't happen, they won't be able to go to Disney for the finale. Win the Ads is also problematic if there's no audience. What are they going to do about it?

They did that last year and it worked fine, I imagine they will do the same thing again.
Win The Ads can be played via Zoom surely.

I noticed the papers on bbc news were advertised to return to pre pandemic times this evening of 22:40 and 23:30 but it didn’t happen. It started at 22:30 as normal. Anyone know why it was advertised to start at 22:40 tonight?
It wasn’t just a graphic error either as Tim mentioned it would be on at 10:40 I think twice.

Production wise on Saturday Night Takeaway, I wonder how much the studio layout has been changed? Surely they will not have the massive 550 seat audience platform in place, with no one sitting in them?
Maybe this new series has given them a chance to design a new set, new look, fresh feel for 2021?
