I think what we may be seeing is the Sky News Australia model. Impartial by day with the likes of Brazier and opinion during the evening.

If I was GB News, I'd schedule Andrew Neil as a bridge between the impartial rolling news format which is speculated to be on during the day and the opinion hours on later in the evening.

When you say as speculated, do you mean as speculated by you? So much speculation about this channel, I can’t keep up.

Not loving the logo, but it might work if the triangles that form the N are nicely animated. Could see those triangles used as a device for the whole graphic set.

I didn't even spot the N until it was pointed out - reads as GB to me.

The BBC should play them at their own game and begin promos highlighting the news channel is "Britain's news channel". Indeed I'm sure they have used words to that effect at some point.

Didn’t the old ITV News Channel use slogans like Britains News Channel or Breaking News for Britain?

They did! I have memories of an awful ‘word art’ esque graphic during theatre of news era.

They used "Breaking News for Britain".

There is probably a joke to be made about "Breaking Britain for News", but that's probably not for here anymore

I kind of imagine GB News being a little like Robert Peston’s show in style and tone.

The GB logo on Wikipedia is different to the letterhead one:

I'd take the Wiki logo with a pinch of salt until GB News unveil it.

The news part in that Wiki logo reminds you of the news part of Sky News, with the colours reversed and without a gradient

The Guardian are reporting that Kamal Ahmed has been 'restructured' out of BBC News.
Given two of his previous places of employment were The Telegraph and Spectator - anyone want to predict the next 'big name' signing?
