While CNN is trouncing the opposition in the all important cable news market currently, I can't see the US channel removing the largely partisan commentary for now.

However I'd like to see CNNi quickly revert to some form of a global agenda instead of being so US centric as it's been during the Trump presidency.

Do you think it will?

That will depend if their audience still want a diet of heavy U.S. politics with a more mainstream politician in charge who is less likely to be a destabilising force globally.

I kinda think CNN doubled-down on US Political coverage globally when Trump tweeted something before like "CNN International was not representative of America" or something, if I recall.

It's not only the first hundred days of the Biden Presidency, It's also the first hundred days of the promotion of Don Lemon's book. It was mentioned again tonight more than once (I'm only half watching) Don thanked a guest for mentioning the book and pointed out it was number one on Amazon. Very Happy

Last year it got to the stage where every guest and reporter congratulated Anderson Cooper when he had his child. It's likely to be the same with Don and his book.

I think I've just about had it with CNN, I'll be watching tomorrow and that will be that. If CNN international returns to its old ways of actually airing news, I'm sure TV Forum will inform me.

Here's the reality: to our disappointment, it's making money. In fact, I believe it took some time before Turner has made CNN a money-making operation through its first heyday.

Infotainment shows on History or Discovery point out that CNN didn't reached a bump in viewership until the Jessica McClure rescue, and then their round-the-clock Gulf War coverage.

CNN coverage has started proper now, at 12pm GMT, with Tapper and Blitzer.

Nice to see the graphics dropping right down to where the ticker would normally be.

It would have been better if they just placed there Inauguration countdown clock, instead of covering the face of the resource person during the interview.

No sign of a "when they go low, we go high" mantra today re Trump leaving.

Tapper: "Disgraced", Bash:"Small, little man", Blitzer: "Pathetic, tiny little crowd to say goodbye", Jones: "Think of the Muslims right now!"

We all know Trump was worse than awful but they aren't half laying it on thick with this commentary.

Shouldn't CNN US be informing CNN International if they are airing those insert advertisements in the middle of the broadcast? I believe they also play those during New Day.
