Yes running order template issue...

Genuine question - why do they usually use the awkward "This is BBC News with the latest headlines" intro for the 9am intro?

Always found it really awkward, doesn't seem to flow off the tongue well, and no name or timecheck.

It begs the question why are they not using it if it’s can be done during the time when staff is probably more limited now because of Christmas and lockdowns than what it probably would’ve been over summer.

Indeed if it's just a question of using a different running order template then it's not going to need extra personell to work on it.

Maybe I'm missing something 🤷🏻‍♂️

This intro for a TOTH opening indicates a NC & World simulcast. You can't timecheck a World simulcast. 9am on the BBC NC has been simulcast since Christmas Eve.

I think bbc247 was referring to even when the 9am hour isn’t simulcasting with World they use this intro, usually more when Anita’s presenting.

Worth noting Newsnight remains at 10.45 in the New Year so clearly now a scheduling decision after initially being moved for practical reasons.
