With these mocks I tried to bring a more modern feel to News 24. I re-named it to BBC News for this reason.
My inspiration was, beleive it or not, the Radio 1 website! ( www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 )

Very goood apart from the black!(I hate black - it reminds me of funerals)

I don't think I like the way the text merges with the background of what's below it.

I think the clock should somehow be incorperated into the logo, and the other text be slightly smaller so it doesn't merge with what's below it.

Could you mock that up so I can compare?

I like the colour scheme, though I don't think the BBC would use the font as it isn't very corporate.

Well, I did intend for it to do this. I think it looks rather stylish blending in with what's below it. However, I will work on something with the ideas you've suggested.



This is actually taken from the font family used by BBC One - Franklin Gothic.

They are Good, I just think that the text is too squashed together on some parts and the colours of the text and aston are too similar and maybe too hard to make out on a real TV.
