BBC1/BBC2 Guy Fawkes Idents 2003

OK folks - Bonfire night will soon be here and time for me to unveil this year's BBC1 and BBC2 idents for 2003:

A RealMedia clip of the BBC1 symbol can be seen here. And before you all state the bleedin' obvious yes there is a balloon for BBC1 - as there should be. The rest is based on the DTI's Sam Spark graphics from its firework safety campaign.

BBC2's ident is based loosely on the Fire ident - but you've probably worked that out. The idea being the rocket torches the BBC TWO box as it whizzes past. Hope you like them and comments please!

I like the BBC2 ident, but I'm not too sure about the BBC 1 ident.

I realy like them both. I like the video but i think to improve it, you could animate more objects, i find it a bit boring at the mo.

Thanks Carlton! The idents were only intended to be stills so the "animation" was an afterthought. I'm no expert when it comes to Flash; most of the time I use it as a drawing tool.

Let's imagine that, for BBC1, the sequence starts zoomed in on one of the aerial shells. When it explodes, the camera pans out to the image as shown. More shells fire off as the balloon veers right; carefully avoiding it of course! And I admit the choice of music might have been better...

I agree we need the balloon/globe back!

Fear: Nice, although i think you try them with the current five logo, as i think this is more the style of their idents!

I do prefer BBC TWO but they are both ok!

I like the setting, although the pictures must have been taken a while ago, I can't see the Sage Music Centre or the Eye bridge.
